Hmm

I'm just saying I love when there is a lot of details "without meaning" in the story but I see what you want to say

Pro, I'm more of a proponent for the writing style and not chapter length. You can have tight, concise writing in a 10k chapter or a 40k chapter. The most recent example of a longer version of this would be stories involving Norman and the Order of Solstice. I'm all there for that. In fact, I would argue that those are the chapters that keep readers coming back and should never be changed.

It’s not about the size of the boat, it’s the motion of the ocean. Hopefully no antinium drowning in it though. Short or big as long as pirateaba on board is healthy that’s all that matters.

Yeah, the meandering nature of online serials is a feature, not a bug. Rigid structures and a lean story is a hallmark for published books and I believe that it is born out of a limitation of the format more than anything. Works for some stories and worlds and preferences but that isn’t what TWI is all about imo, even if there are more focused arcs.

I disagree with chump1999, its cool to have short chapters but the long chapters also have their charm since the story is often in the style of slice of life where you can just wander around in the world and "live in it" instead of rushing from plot point to plot point. Regardless I love the story, keep it up pirate

This All of this. By removing all of the fluff and keeping the writing tight, by keeping the chapter by chapter storyline unconvoluted, you reduce your writing load drastically (as well as stress) and improve the story as a whole. I loved this chapter because I could see and feel it. In a paragraph or two you advanced each individual character's stories (Rhaldion, etc.) and didn't drown me in information. Everyone (Liska) got to progress in a fun way and my subconscious filled in the details that you didn't provide. My hope is that by embracing the short and concise writing approach, you'll have the freedom to write the main storyline while having enough creative energy for you to work on side stories... all while avoiding writer's collapse by having rests and personal time.
