A New Village Is Here!
🕑 Added 2024-11-25 04:00:04 +0000 UTCA New Village Is Here!
(Check out the attached image of a new character coming in this update! She’s super upright and righteous, which, as you might guess, doesn’t exactly lead to a happy ending for her...)
This update to the Goblin storyline isn’t just about building up the Goblin faction—we’ve also made a few extra tweaks here and there.
Originally, Kharmangas was supposed to be a mix of two big ideas: a "starter village" and the "main hub for Goblin storyline interactions."
But as we worked on it, we realized that Kharmangas alone just couldn’t handle everything the Goblin storyline needed to reveal.
Sure, we could’ve crammed more NPCs into Kharmangas to fit all the Goblin-related content, but we were worried that doing so would mess with the NPCs who are already there.
So, we decided to create a whole new village—Hrunthall!
This place is closer to the southern woodlands and is much smaller, with only a handful of residents: a dad whose daughter was taken by goblins, a not-so-bright countryside villager, and a special task force sent by the kingdom to deal with the goblins.
On top of that, there’s a shady organization called the Arcane Medicae Institute lurking around.
Officially, they’re court magicians working to advance the human kingdom, but behind the scenes, they’re up to some seriously creepy experiments.
In fact, the horrifying Arcane Beast Ranch was set up under their orders.
We’re packing in a ton of content this time, so we’re hustling to get everything done...
Stay tuned—there’s more to come in future dev logs!

I've added a bit more to the Goblin update, and it's no longer possible to release it within the originally expected timeframe... Aside from the new village, it seems like the Goblin's current quests have already taken up about half of the total number of quests released in the game so far. The current goal is to let players play a version before the end of the year, or else it’ll be too hard for everyone…

I want to make the Boneless One right, so I don't want to rush their creation. Although some monsters have already been created, I expect there will be some adjustments to make them perfect... Stay tuned!

Super keen to see the results of the team's work. The little sneak peaks have been a great even if a little sparse. Is the timeline still up in the air or is there a release window for the goblin update?
