she's sleeping on my bed rn in that little pink oval bed and i am. so. soft look at her ;โ;
the other name i was thinking about was "sophie" from howl's moving castle, but i think emma jean might really suit her!! idk!! gotta get to know her a bit i think x

Aw ๐ Respect for adopting a lil oldie. My cats reached 10 and 11 yo this year, just found my 10 yo has failing kidneys so it's unclear how long we'll remain a family of three.. she's still in relatively good health so I hope to get another couple year out of her at least. Hope you get some lovely years with your little one.

We are a cat family. they are family :0 We have two. One is almost 15 and the other, we adopted about five years ago. So we just brought a Christmas tree home, and while we unloaded it to the front, went around to basement to get stand..someone took it! We are in a VERY small town, that just doesnโt usually happen. So, we ended up getting her early, my at the time, 9 year old was crushed someone took the tree. ( itโs Michigan so easy fix ) I explained that someone else really needed the tree more than us..but his faith in humanity honestly was a bit just sad...so..we brought our adopted kitty home wrapped her in a blanket, had a friend help, and knock at the door complete with a painted card I made saying that it was an early gift from Santa because he was so sad about the tree, and so in about others needing the tree and most people have good hearts... it was the best present ever, he took her started crying and said that he had been sent an Angel. So Angel sleeps in Codyโs bed to this day and is a reminder that something good can come from a bad situation. I love that you adopted one thatโs older and in need of your care and cuddles. Youโre an Angel too !

So cute! We rescued an adult kitty from the SPCA a year ago and itโs been such a rewarding experience <3 her name at the shelter was KeeKee but we changed the spelling to Kiki to match the Ghibli film :)
