He went back to Earth and is effectively retired, he does some grueling outdoorsy stuff like long-distance hiking as much as possible, and gives talks here and there out of boredom. He has a failed therapy dog named Levi II who was too excitable to pass training, but in a way that is a good fit. He isn't in terribly strong contact with Bex, but will send her annoying insect memes to get on her nerves when he has nothing better to do, which is often.
You might notice he lost his leg as well... thighfriend is being held in some facility somewhere I'm sure. I know it's technically canon but in my headcanon thighfriend has no upper limit to growth and is currently like 20 ft tall in a tank under a desert in Colorado lol. Good for him.

Apologies, I had to choose between the nerve-wracking anxieties of 1) saying something, and 2) not saying something when it might have made a difference. (o_o;) If I noticed any continuity issues at all it's only because I've gone back to re-read MI several times!

lol, oh boy. You know, I checked every single page of the comic to make sure I'd gotten the correct leg, because I am left-right dyslexic (apparently that's a thing) and mixed all of the "sided" details up pretty frequently. This page wasn't a comic and I didn't check it OTL Many kudos for being the only one to notice it so far, unfortunately there's nothing I can do at this point except own it, haha.

I love all of these! I am a little terrified to ask this, tho: wasn't thighfriend attached to Mike's right leg? Or was there another reason he lost his left?

I think it's probably a lot like a goldfish in terms of intelligence. I assume it could recognize Mike's blood if it were to come in contact with it again, and maybe would have a reaction to Mike's voice, but otherwise it's probably happiest when it's just chilling and soaking in nutrients.
