Progress update for 2024/05/12
🕑 Added 2024-05-12 18:24:48 +0000 UTCHeya all! It's time for another update... and sadly enough, not one with a lot of good news. To keep it short, this month I had to take medication for mental health problems. It did not land well. As such, my time spend on the game was limited. Gabe and I did manage to plot out a good chunk of the plot going forward, and we wrote several events featuring Toshi, the mysterious giant scientist! But, not as much as we wanted.
Soviet and my co-programmer have also, due to personal circumstances, have taken a break from the project. Of course, IRL is always more important than these games, but that does mean that the progress is really slow, if still steady.
As for Feudal growth, the secret project, that one is complex. At this point, what that game needs is ART. And due to soviet taking a break, we're kind of forced to put it on a break. We've discusse getting other artists in, make placeholder art, even use AI. But unfortunately, Soviet was central in setting up the pipelines and processes that process the art; getting others into that would take a lot of work, and finding people that can do it for the price at which soviet did it is very difficult.
In the month, I've noticed that the amount of patreons is dropping. And frankly, that's totally fair; our productivity is also dropping, and as such it makes sense that people hook off. All I want to say about this, is that if ever you feel like it's not worth it, or you got other priorities, please do unsubscribe! The work on this game continues no matter what; it's a fun project, and we all want to see it through. We all deeply appreciate your contributions, and we do the best we can with it ^^
