Update 38: Artistry

This month has been one of conflict for me and my team, I don't like to presume but I've seen the same reaction from everyone when we settle in the 'meat' of a project where, for all intents and purposes it doesn't seem like a lot is getting done.
That's not to say we've not been hard at work, it's just you get things changing from awesome to, even more awesome-er
I like to hire people that demonstrate a remarkable degree of passion, it's how our work, in my opinion, stands out from the rest, when you have people who are, not creating for the sake of a paycheque, but because they want to see the end result as much as everyone else does.
It's why films and media that spend years in development stick around in peoples minds, it's how you get the Arcane's, the Into the Spiderverse's, the Severance's.
I can't compare our work to those masterpieces (yet) but it's the standard that I aspire to achieve.
The disadvantage is that, if, as an artist, you don't feel like you're doing your part or you're holding someone else back, it can be demoralising! The passion that we have is a double edged sword in that sense, for as much as it drives us, that drive can't be turned off.
I mention this now as the bulk of the work we've been carrying out this month is a process called retopology, For those outside of the business, it's the act of taking the absurdly high poly sculpts that flow from the minds of our artists and make them into objects that preserve the detail, but make it so it can be rigged and animated without bringing every modern computer to it's knees, Basically reducing the amount of points the computer has to consider when rendering the finished article.
It is an extremely time consuming, but necessary part of the process when it comes to developing assets, given that we are now moving into a space where, the assets we make are likely the ones we want to keep around for some time, we're spending more time than ever getting them just right.
Given the length of time spent on this set, and also some feedback from some members, both here and on the discord, we've decided to spend a couple of episodes in this new setup we've been crafting.
The idea being that the next episode should be dramatically quicker to produce, and also lends more time for our modeller to get working on the next set whilst I work within the same environment.
It also allows us to explore a couple scenario's based on what people have said they'd like to see in this environment, Denial verses reward, the details of exactly what will go down will of course, remain a surprise for the final product(s), but rest assured, we have been listening and are always considering how best to explore concepts and ideas within this universe.
With that all said I can say that the body and facial animation for the scene is all but done. The runtime of which is going to come in between 15-20 ish minutes (final cuts are always made for levity's sake so nothing firm currently).
There will be some polish needed, as ever, but we are at the stage now where the mocap and animation process is becoming very efficient, which is excellent news for when we have a sufficient set of environments and devices in which to.... delight our various participants.
I'll leave you all with a write up I asked INOPRBL to do for us about the new rebreather design he's been working on as part of this set:
The Rebreather The Deep Extraction Unit utilizes a closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) to provide a carefully-controlled breathing mixture to the subject, held in a self-contained breathing-loop.
The primary function of the rebreather unit is to remove CO2 from exhaled breath and replenishing the O2 which has been consumed by the body, but it also serves as a distribution system for advanced mind-altering compounds used during operation of the DEU.
This unit is designed to operate in mixed environments, both wet and dry, and can be used across a wide variety of applications.
Rebreather Operation:
Exhaled breath is a mixture of CO2, O2, and an Inert Gas, such as Nitrogen- which acts as a Diluent.
Exhaled breath travels through a hose into a Counter-Lung, which briefly holds a full tidal-volume of exhaled air before it is pulled through the loop by the Inlet Air Pump. This ensures that even under maximum workload and stress, there is never any perceptible resistance to exhalation.
This unit is equipped with both an inlet and outlet Air Pump, which effectively eliminates the “work of breathing” concerns of traditional rebreathers, by carefully balancing inlet and outlet pressures in time with the subject’s breathing.
After passing through the inlet Air Pump, the CO2 in the exhaled breath is captured using a pair of adsorbent beds; essentially a kind of filter which can trap CO2 molecules, and then later release them in the presence of an electrical charge.
The O2 and Diluent pass freely through the adsorbent media, but CO2 becomes trapped within the sponge-like material.
Trapped CO2 is further processed after capture, stripping away the carbon and allowing oxygen molecules to pass back into the loop.
The adsorbent beds take turns cycling between capture and release states, absorbing incoming CO2 from the breathing-loop, and releasing it into the CO2 cracking unit to recover the remaining oxygen molecules present in the CO2.
The air mixture in the breathing loop is now a combination of O2 and Diluent, which then passes into a Mixing Chamber that allows the blending of additional gases and vapors.
Connected to the Mixing Chamber is a computerized aerosolizer unit with an internal magazine of various compounds such as Aphrodesiacs, Euphorics, Stimulants, Narcotics, Performance Enhancers, etc.
The Aerosolizer distributes these compounds into the Mixing Chamber at a precisely calculated rate to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the various drugs in use.
The onboard sensors in the Deep Extraction Unit provide telemetry to the computerized controls of the Aerosolizer, allowing it to make realtime dosage adjustments while in use.
The primary addition valves for O2 and Diluent also connect at the Mixing Chamber, where they can be carefully blended before passing through the loop.
Once past the mixing chamber, the gas is monitored by a series of sensor within the Outlet Sensor Head, the last stop before passing through the outlet air pump and into a counter-lung, which stores enough breathable gas to compensate for the tidal volume of the subject during periods of maximum work and stress.
The gas is then inhaled, where it enters the body before being exhaled and starting the cycle over again.
In the event of an emergency, where the breathing-gas mixture in the loop cannot be maintained at safe levels of oxygenation, such as after an equipment malfunction, this unit is designed to automatically switch over to an Open-Circuit bailout system that can provide breathable air to the subject from a pressurized air source connected to the DEU.
It is in these outlets and shreds that I see from the team I've had the distinct pleasure to work with where the passion shines through, It makes me think that if he puts this much effort and thought into a mask, what lies for us in the future?

Hey there... have you though of having 1 or multiple orb/drones that that float around and can scan the vials like blood pressure, and zero in on specific spots of the body and show a cutaway/Xray if you will. showing veins dilate, semen flowing milk pulsing body parts behind the restraints... the orbs as I would call them would float around periodically, maybe in times of intense build up... had a bit of a Braingasm over it last night when I cranked up the game destiny 2 again, your characters buddy is "Ghost" and an orb like entity, does scanns of your environment... So I thought in these videos, wouldn't it be delicious to see inside her body every so often.... food for thought

I had an idea for future videos. I was thinking it would be really erotic to have the girl shoot her sperm freely into the air and have it caught by some sort of air receptacle, instead of the load being contained within a collection unit or where it's immediately trapped and collected. This was something I was thinking about with regards to mainstream porn. I always found it more erotic and arousing when the load shoots freely. Just a thought! The collection units like the one in The Box are awesome too! One isn't better than the other, just a diffrent way perhaps.

...one thing I neglected to mention in my previous comment was that for the erotic energy and dynamic of a scene, it would be better for the girl's mouth to be visible rather than having it covered or otherwise restricted. I didn't mind it in The Box series because everything else was so well done. But in the extraction video where the girl has both eye goggles on and a ball gag - it's too many elements supressing her expressions and facial reactions to the masturbation process. The gag ball in particular completely took away an opportunity to see her mouth movements, etc... Seeing the girl's face for me is a huge part of the experience.

I just wanted to say very quickly- As a female watcher, I actually enjoy the overly elaborate projects. I can understand some other comments here however- there's quite enough simple out there. It refreshing to see this much effort. And personally I enjoy the newer stuff honestly.

I would like to also comment my thoughts echoing similar sentiments in the recent posts. I too, feel like the slow drip content release format is not the ideal scenario for most viewers. I understand the amount of resources that go into these projects.. however, I would pay 2/3 times the current subscriber rate for more and faster content. I would assume other users feel the same. Even if you are releasing simpler/ repetitive content in between the 2/3 months it takes to build and create these bigger and newer projects.

I’m going to elaborate more in my update at the beginning of next month as it’s becoming clear I need to address this more officially rather than through replies. But let’s just say for now a lesson has been learned from this. I didn’t mind taking a few months but clearly it’s gotten away from us in this instance.

I've thought about writing this comment for a long time, and only decided to do it after seeing a few other comments in this post reflecting similar thoughts about the direction you've taken. I've been a subscriber for maybe a year and a half. At least a year, can't remember. I stumbled upon on your first A414 video on some of the free porn sites, and immediately became intrigued. I find the submissive seeing what will happen to them and consenting to it incredibly arousing, and I definitely think that it's maybe even more about the journey and buildup to the inevitable climax than the climax itself. I've been enjoying your earlier work a LOT, especially the AIMEE and The Box series. At first, it was exhilarating to realize that the end of the month is approaching, bringing a new video every month. After your release schedule turned into two months for a few of the latest videos, I didn't mind too much, but... I have to be honest: the latest Kiriko clip did absolutely nothing to me. The lighting was weird, the angles were weird, and the overall hotness of the scene was nothing compared to your earlier work. I've been dreading to come and read the latest updates about the next video, because I think you're heading in a direction with the extended lore and background information about the various devices that I'm just not interested in. I'd just like to receive a video once a month with a cunning and sadistic robot pleasuring female characters that are tightly restrained to chairs or tables. I emphasize that this is nothing personal. You have all the right to go to whichever direction you like. I just wanted to put this out there that the improvements you've done (the expanded team, better everything related to modeling, etc) aren't nearly as visible for me as a viewer than what they probably are to you as creators. I was more, MORE than satisfied with the technical quality of your animations back when I subscribed, and if all of the background work takes away from the release schedule, I'd rather have "worse-quality" videos more often than world-class animated smut once every three or more months. I hope this is just a phase.

So firstly. Thanks for taking the time to provide some feedback. I can tell you’re passionate about what we have and where we’ve come from. And I can find myself agreeing with a lot of the points you’re raising. It is easy. I know. As an outside observer to regard the process as simple. On the outset. Yes. I accomplished great success with a simple concept. But I did that at a time when I had a great deal less experience and help. I did what I could, with what I knew. I was passionate to get something done, I was happy with the work that I did. But I knew I could do better. It’s the passion that carries me through the countless hours of animation, that endures me through the issues I experience. If it’s not something I want to see. I’m not getting it done, the moment you ask me to produce ‘good enough’ is when the work stops. I know that I still have a lot to learn as far as managing these projects go, if there is a measurable increase in the time it’s taking to complete projects. That’s on me for not planning things out better. Though I do hasten to point out my release schedule hasn’t really slowed down that much, we recycled a few ideas during the earlier box series. But really I feel that set and idea is done now, I know people liked it. The pose worked great, and it’s a hot concept, but I’m not just going to recycle an idea forever. But really it’s always taken me a 2-4 month window to produce an idea, make it happen and get it out. I do not know of any other independent artist. Team or otherwise that produces the length of content we do. Within the timeframe we do it in. I’m not about to lower the standards of what I know we can achieve for the sake of keeping a subscriber count. I believe that people will wait for something good, and the reality is that good stuff takes a lot of time to make. I know it can be frustrating, and it is a very due consideration of mine. It’s why I talk so much about the process of producing these things, the work that stands out is the result of passionate people being given the leave to imagine something that didn’t exist before. And I’m well aware that. Left unchecked. That’s how we end up with the star citizens of the world, the insanely ambitious way over the top passion projects that never get completed because an artist is never truly happy with their work. I’m not spending all my time making sure there’s sweat beads in the right place. I know when something’s taking a lot longer than it needs to. But respectfully, if you want my work. You’re going to have to get used to waiting for it, at least until we work the kinks out of the operation.

So...having been a very enthusiastic and eager consumer of your content since the beginning of the AIMEE series, I have some thoughts on this. I think you've drifted away from what made your earlier work so insanely and amazingly great. I think there's way, way too much overthought and energy being wasted in the reasoning and explaining behind the mechanism and in the mechansim/ restraint machine itself, and how the rebreather works, etc. I think covering the girl's mouth with any sort of object like a breathing unit is a huge mistake. Now please understand, it worked very well for The Box series of videos because the other elements were so damn good. The girls sitting down and reclined in a submissive position, the masturbation unit/cylinder that comes down from above to settle on the penis, the "prep" stuff like the arousal gel, the brush, the little support arms that held the erection steady until the masturbation cylinder was fully lowered onto it, etc. The Box and the other videos that came out around the same time were SHEER GENIUS. Plus you nailed the erotic timing and pacing with The Box. Each extraction girl had a super effective pacing to it, transitioning to the next girl, etc. And the sitting position added an enormous anount of erotic tension and excitement. There is such an electric sense of anticipation visually seeing the cylinder coming down, knowing what's about to happen. Your more recent work, yes it is "advancing" in detail and texures, etc. But in my opinion it's lost a lot of the erotic energy that was found in AIMEE and The Box. For me that content was your peak. After that, the focus seemed to shift to trying to outdo your old work by introducing different positions of the girls, new extraction apparatus, with new mouth obstructions like the gag ball, etc. I feel like there's too much being jammed into the videos now. The very latest project with the rebreather I feel is way too technical and distracts from what should be the main focus - the erotic energy and pace of the masturbation and orgasm/extraction. It looks like this apparatus will have the girl suspended in the air. I think this is technically inferior and erotically inferior to the girls sitting in the reclined chairs in The Box series . And finally, this massive amount of energy put into the movements, design, and specs. of a new suspension apparatus has essentially brought the release of content to a virtual halt, with months between new videos being released. You're going to lose members with a release schedule this painfully slow. I think it would make so much more sense to trust and use the older, "dated" technology used to make the Box and Aimee content and and focus more on how to create new scenarios and new erotic situations, and put out MORE content with the OLDER technology and not worrying about each new series being technologically "superior" to previous work. At the end of the day, I don't really care if I can see the beads of sweat clearer or the skin textures or glints of metal better, etc. I wouldn't trade The Box series for anything "newer". The Box is a masterpiece. AIMEE is a masterpiece. I feel like you need to stick to what worked with those and focus on the eroticism and not reinventing the entire thing to the point where it's unrecognizable.

In all fairness there was a time I felt similarly. I think bc I was so excited about Sombra, I really disliked the Kiriko video. Did nothing for me. And yes at times it is hard to be patient But cmon let's give Max and his team a chance to put out good work. The downtime is proof they are working hard. And I can't get MJ-esque material anywhere else in terms of the attention to detail or the believable voice acting. The wait will be worth it

while true, other content creators do not have as high a workload. Although I do not know what specific content creators you're refrencing, alot of nsfw videos are just models smacking together with simulated jiggle physics and sometimes fluid simulations if you're lucky.

Sorry that you feel that way! You are free to sub just for releases if you wish! Though I obviously appreciate your support if you choose to stay. Believe me id rather things get done sooner. But I’m not about to release something that compromises the quality I know that we can achieve, just for the sake of ‘content’. Good work takes time and resources, there is no escaping that fact.

I admire the attention to detail and lore you put into this. However, IMO the rebreather unit does have problems. Anytime you are covering or manipulating parts of a characters face you are hiding visual reactions, as well as vocal ones (if it includes the mouth). Now I wouldn't scrap your hard work designing the rebreather and I like the lore, it makes sense. But if I had a say I'd prefer to have the rebreather unit as something that is already worn or applied at the start of the animation and after going through a "cycle" is removed. This would let the unit fulfill its purpose then up the ante upon its removal by showing more of the characters reactions as the scene intensity increases. Just my thoughts. Not sure if anyone agrees with me. Thanks for your hard work!

Love this! Love that you're reusing scenes, as you clearly put a lot of love into them, and it lets us see different characters in similar situations and see how they act. One of my favourite aspects of the Edging Lab was how differently the characters reacted to largely the same thing. Hope to see more of that. Love the in-depth run-down of the rebreather as well! That’s the kinda almost unnecessary level of detail I love in my sci-fi, where everything is worked out even where an “it works because it does” would do. Like you, I cannot wait to see what INOPRB, or any of the others, come up with later on
