Nothing is technically filler in boruto. It might not have the same vibe as Naruto because it’s now more “slice of life/battle shounen”, but their is no filler in boruto. Technically. I’m one for watching all of boruto because each episode adds to the characterization of each new generation character, whether it is interesting or not. For example, I think Shikamaru’s side story was boring as hell, but I would still advise people who is interested in Naruto/boruto to watch it.

Definitely can agree Boruto has a mediocre story, as they haven't even adapted the manga yet, but its still a fun and enjoyable watch as long as you skip the filler. I already know you'll both enjoy it, as much as I will enjoy watching ya'll react to it.

Episode 495 is made by the same team that did Rock Lee SD series, it's a 51 episode comedy spin off series with Lee as the Main Character. That being said, everything from this arc is adapted from canon novels.

it is kinda cool to see Naruto actually be a hero to those little kids tho. Thinking that an ordinary teacher never could've taught the most powerful shinobi, and that he wasn't even close to being bad, that he was always a hero. goes to show you how much work Naruto put in to get to where he is today and that it all payed off completely.
