I actually do but its not like he is ending Naruto sooner by skipping Itachi’s story, he is going to react to it but later, when the war is over, since like I said, his story won’t have an impact on what’s currently going on. Not like it matters, he already started reacting to it.

Best of wishes to you and your family first of all. Now, I have to agree with the other dude up in the comments about skipping the backstory. While I don't deny that it's interesting and well worth watching, I think you should focus on finishing the main plot, there isn't that much left if you skip the fillers.
