1) Ohnoki was already gone originally during this timeline due to old age, but this arc just gave him a send him off showing his final days and portray his - Will of Stone analogy basically, 2) Mitsuki used Partial Sage Transformation (hornless), you will learn more about it in the future, but this mode was technically held back on cause it's not main canon storyline yet
