I think Samehada was probably returned to the Mist by Killa B because of the newfound peace between villages. The seven swords of the Mist are national treasures to the Mist and part of their history, so for the Cloud to keep it would be a bit of a slap in the face given that they have an alliance now. It was probably given back as a gesture of peace and unity between the two villages.
