🕑 Added 2025-10-14 16:40:50 +0000 UTCI feel like my older death knight wasn't awful, but it's an important monster and deserved to be as good as it could be, so here's a refinement and expansion of what we had before; also, I needed to get these polished up so I could riff on them with a certain named knight of the deathly persuasion.
Also, corvids! I can't believe I didn't have these quintessential familiar buddies and edgelord wingsteeds ready yet, but the misdeed has been redressed! No magpies or jays yet, but this lens on their dark-winged cousins wasn't as good a fit for them.

How do you mean? I've never really worked directly within the Action Oriented paradigm, though it's definitely been an influence on my design philosophy. I use Bonus Actions and Reactions when those serve the story I want a stat block to tell. Sometimes I'll give monsters a single impactful Legendary Action, serving a similar role as Villain Actions, but other times I find smaller off-turn actions work better for a monster.
