Weekly update - August 8th

I hope your summer is going great. It's raining here again, we've had an really un Calgary like summer this year. Tonnes of rain, usually there is a hose pipe ban on right now and we've got issues with forest fires, not this year.
Anyway to updates. Steady is the best way to describe this week's progress. My render rig has not stopped. I've also been catching up on the scripting side of things too. I decided to make an internal change to how I build the rest of the chapter out. It doesn't effect the experience in the slightest but changes the way I measure progress. Last week I said I had 4 scenes left, I decided though that some of those scenes are way too big and I need to split them up. The 'big' scene I talked about last week is now split into three. I've completed the first part, which is by far the largest in terms of renders required and I still have the other two parts to complete. I had predicted though that I would be finished the 'big' scene by now but I'm not. I probably a little behind. It's not massive though and I'm still confident in my initial estimate of Aug 29th.
I've passed the 500 renders point now for the chapter. I've been taking extra care with this chapter in terms of art direction and rendering as it is such an important chapter. I've been very happy with the results so far. But this extra attention to detail does come at a price of speed, again though I'm not moving away from my estimate, right now. But I will not cut any corners to get this particular chapter out to a set time.
Nothing new to report on the stuff away from development this week. I've been very much focused on that side of things. BF remains de-indexed on Itch. You can still get to it by using these links if you want to:

There is one very small clue in that image but for me to tell you would give a part of the story away. I'm actually finding it very difficult to find renders I can share as part of the weekly update, that doesn't give too much away.

Rain? Nice. I do my best work when it's raining... I just love it. :) The image this week is interesting... Pretty girls in a well-lit lounge and I don't think I can recognize any of them... yet. I'm not quite sure what I can glean from it. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Again, I'm glad to hear that we have more story coming than I originally thought. This is exciting.
