Weekly Update - Sep 26th

It's been another steady week rendering out chapter 10. Which I still haven't a good name for, it'll default to Semester 3. Six scenes are now fully rendered.
I've added another couple of scenes to my plan for 10. So the total number of scenes now stands a 18. Chapter 9 was 28 in length. Knowing me, I'll probably reach 20 when all is said and done for 10.
From a delivery standpoint, I'm going to revert back to something I was doing earlier in the development process which is to release a chapter in two halves. That way I can get something out to you guys a lot quicker. It makes a lot of sense anyway for this chapter as there is a obvious break point.
So Chapter 10 part 1 will consist of all the scenes that will take the pair up to the Christmas Break in their 3rd semester at Finch Green. That's a current total of 10 scenes, if my maths is correct I have 4 more to go.
Looking at each of those 4 scenes. I see one as large, one a sizable, one as mid length and one as small. Lets estimate 2 weeks for the large and sizable scenes and an extra week to get the mid and small ones done. Add another week for testing and that brings me out at 4 weeks from now. So the estimate, subject to change, if I add more, is around the end of October for part 1 of chapter 10.
I think I have mentioned this in the past, but the Great Friend tier is not a sustainable tier for the price when compared to other platforms. With that in mind, I am giving you all a heads up on a change I will have to make. After the game is complete, I will not touch the tiers for 40 days. 30 days after the release of the Epilogue chapter. I will make that chapter, the full game available to the Great Friend tier. For 10 days the prices for all tiers will remain the same. This is to reward those that have supported me through Great Friend to pick up the full game for a period. On the 40th day, I will be increasing the prices for the Best Friend tier and Great Friend tier to $15 USD and $10 USD respectively.
Post the epilogue my intent will be to do a polish and clean up release. I'm a little restricted with the really old stuff, as I have had some issues with my hardware during the development process that prevents me from being able to rework some old scenes, I would have to completely rebuild them but I'll try my best to work around that.
Once that release is complete I will park Best Friends and probably take a little time to rest as I slowly work to finish Great Hire and start work on my next project which I will announce soon. That next project is a little more ambitious from a technical perspective than BF was and will take me some time to get off the ground. I will try to be as up front as I can in terms of when you can expect any new content, so you can make decisions on your support levels.
Even if you decide that you no longer want or can afford to support me, I would encourage staying as a free member as I will continue to post updates like this one as free content, so you can stay up to date.

You are such a busy beaver. I am amazed at how quickly you are able to put out content while working a regular full-time job. Very impressive! Looks like Zara is making the rounds... I wonder what will shake out in the near future. I am intrigued with the possibilities. Keep up the good work :) ~Linni

Thank you so much. Just to be clear though, the current price will remain in place until AFTER Best Friends is completed. The change won't come in until 40 days after the epilogue is released.
