Her whole family ran to the highest peak of the island until the water subsided. Their hut home was ruined and most of their food was destroyed. She talked about how blessed she felt that her family was safe and how she drew closer to the Lord because of it. This gave me a lot to think about. I think if I had been her, I would have been mad at God and frustrated that my home was gone. I've been pretty bitter about my divorce and my eternal marriage being ruined. I want to be more like this lady and look for the blessings instead. Like because of the marriage I had, I have my beautiful kids. I'm blessed to have them. I hope you guys can find the blessings in your lives where you see trials. Life is hard, but if we can see God in the trials, it will be easier.
