Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!🌺 A..
🕑 Added 2024-05-02 04:48:10 +0000 UTC Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!🌺 As a Pacific Islander, this month is special to me as it celebrates my ancestors & the contributions, culture, and history of all Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the U.S. May was chosen to commemorate the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants to the United States on May 7, 1843, and the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869, which was largely built by Chinese immigrants. Here are some ways to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: 1. Learn about the history and culture of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. 2. Attend cultural events, festivals, and exhibitions that celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. 3. Support Asian American and Pacific Islander-owned businesses and organizations. 4. Read books and watch movies that tell the stories of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. ⭐️5. DM me to learn about my story & to share any you may have too 💖🌺
