Let’s talk about The Orgasm Gap. Did you know:
• 81.6% of women don’t orgasm from intercourse alone (without additional clit stimulation). Only 18.4% of women report that intercourse alone is sufficient to orgasm.
• 95% of heterosexual men usually or always orgasm during partnered sexual activity compared to just 65% of heterosexual women.
• 5-10% of women have never orgasmed.
• 59% of women have admitted to faking an orgasm.
• Women take an average of 14 minutes during partnered sex to orgasm. But only an average of 8 minutes during masturbation.
Here are my truths. I personally have a difficult time orgasming from penetration alone. In fact, I often don’t enjoy penetration and when I masturbate solely for myself with no cameras or anything I rarely enter my vagina. Clitoral stimulation with always makes me cum! I have to admit I’ve also faked many orgasms throughout my life. Here I want to show authentic content so I enjoy posting and creating orgasmically. However, I have felt pressure to fake it even here on my own page to fill the demand. When it comes to my partners, I can only think of 3 that I reached climax with every time we had sex. One of these was a female partner. I have definitely faked it with most other male and female partners. For me I think it’s connection based. The 3 partners I enjoyed the most sexually I also felt the most connected too mentally. Which makes me think, I wonder if mindfulness is connected to orgasming? I also think cultural sexism plays a huge part in The Orgasm Gap! For instance, why do women feel pressure to fake it? Why is male/female intercourse generally considered the highest form of sex? Why is foreplay even a word, like everything else is less important and only done to work up too intercourse. Just things to think about. What are your thoughts on The Orgasm Gap?
