I just wanted to smile more often and make others smile, too. But the negativity around me—the bad people and the difficult events where I live—are breaking me down mentally. My dreams now feel further and further away, more and more like a naïve fantasy.
I feel like I’ll never become the person I want to be, and I’m afraid of letting you down, my friends. That’s why I’ve been struggling lately, and why I haven’t always been able to respond.
Why do I want to make people smile? Because it’s the only thing that truly makes me happy. Somehow, the happiness of others feels more important to me than my own. But as you might imagine, people take advantage of that. I’m just a person chasing a dream, quietly giving whatever is asked of me, and it’s wearing me down.
As you can probably tell, I’m not sure how much longer I can keep going under this kind of pressure.
I just wanted to open up, to show you, just this once, what I’m like when I feel at my lowest.
