You know the ones: sticky floor, loud, vapid conversation, attracts the rough type. You notice me sitting at the bar counting coins as I throw back doubles of whiskey. My tights have rips from the sole to my thigh and my skirt more closely resembles a belt. You think I look a mess. I feel like one. You make your way over, buy a bottle of single malt and place it in front of me. Despite me looking like a girl who has nothing, you still want to impress, or maybe you're trying to reassure me that I need never count coins again. You've got me covered. You notice that my underwear is fraying at the straps and you smile to yourself as you consider what you'd prefer my body to be wrapped in. You want to bathe me, to dress me, to decorate me with femininity. Then you want to get me dirty, strip me & dehumanise me. You've never felt so excited. At last, a new project.*
