Development Hiatus - March 3 to March 17
During this time, I will only have access to my laptop, which is not strong enough for AssetRipper development. The project is huge and slows my laptop to a crawl. However, I will still be able to: Review GitHub pull requests and issues. Respond to comments on here, Discord, and GitHub. Do light software development for projects related to AssetRipper. Write private feature specifications, which will quicken development of those features when I regain access to a high-quality computer.Note: Marc...
Thank you!
I appreciate all your support. Your growing generosity brings me great joy. We are quickly approaching the point at which I can treat this as a part-time job.In addition to the numerous planned improvements for AssetRipper, I have a few new projects in mind: At the $5 tier, I want to release a software tool for extracting textures and meshes from GPU data. At the $10 tier, I want to release additional engine-specific tools. Unreal and Godot are likely to be done, but I'm also open to conside...

Premium Launch Features
Static Mesh SeparationObjects marked as static in a scene get merged when the game is compiled. This is an optimization Unity uses to reduce draw calls. Unfortunately, it also makes game recovery more difficult. This feature reverses that process to the best of its ability. If a mesh is used statically multiple times in the game, even across different scenes, AssetRipper intelligently identifies these duplicates and generates a single mesh for all the instances. If the original mesh exists in th...

Welcome!
Hi! Welcome to my Patreon page. I greatly appreciate that you've considered giving me your support. I'm a small solo developer making mods for The Long Dark. In supporting me, you are helping to ensure that I can keep making mods. I live frugally spending only where necessary. Your support would go towards paying bills, buying food, and maintaining equipment. Every little bit helps to make me more financially stable, so I won't have to sideline mod development.I'm still getting t...
