Some concepts from a recent character design commission! I usually end up doing a lot of thumbnail sketches like these when I'm experimenting with a new design. All of these were drawn on paper and are less than 2" tall IRL.

Meet Hopper

Been working on a design for a proper fursona on and off the past couple months. She's kind of a mishmash of a few different beasts that I identify with (raccoons, fossa, hyenas), and I was hoping to keep her looking pretty ambiguous as far as species goes. I'll upload some concept sketches that got her design to this point later on for $5+ patrons, so keep a lookout!

Ozzie go fast

Found an Ozzie in my D&D folder that I never posted.When I was designing her I wanted her to look like she could comfortably run on all fours, which is why she’s got such long arms. I think about how my characters move a lot, especially anthro and not-quite-human humanoids. It helps me picture how they gesture, their posture, etc. which makes for less guesswork when drawing them.
