aside from Mar and Shesheik these two, Aurther and Liu Sheeah are my second 'official' human/arthropod couple. they are a married couple and quite young (by Dyson standards) as i post old folio pieces i will also post the redos on the same tear

going through my old folios to find what i want to repost (right now) i found the Lady no horns folio and aside from minor things there is not much i would want to change in it because i like the style and the overall look of the design i WILL however rework some other folios in this style because i like it so much

ok here is were things go differently. first you bring the opacity back to full on the render layer and you paint right on top of it. blending and repainting colors and shapes as needed but you have the sketch on top as a guide so you don't lose important information. at this point it is all rendering and repainting, blending and color correction and a LOT of Perspiration

as you can see this is the render without the 3d model. as you are sketching turn the under layer on AND off periodically as you check to make sure your gesture is working right. at this point you can throw away the 3d layer as you have all the necessary structural information you need. i however am color blind in certian reds and greens so i keep the render for a color and a light base refrence

ok now that you have your render it is time to make corrections and add the "flair" as you can see i just lowered the opasity of the render layer and sketched right on top with a new layer. treat the render as if it were a previous sketch and you are just refining another sketch on top of it. the goal here is that the above sketch should look BETTER than the render in terms of gesture, and emotion BUT still follow the rules of Perspective, Proportions and Placement. ok as promised i am posting the process of the pervious post here and explaining why i do what i do and holy heck! never again will i set up a render to have lights on the epic wings from DAZ... good grief it DOES look good but with OVER AN HOUR render...no... just no. with this particular (and the previous one) i only used 3 distant lights in DAZ and no Uber environment (had i not used wings) this cuts down render time and gives a more saturated color scheme. and you have more visible control...

allrighty then i have found my recording software but i am having a few issues with recording videos and tutorials for you all so for now they will just be in blog format. that being said i will also be guiding you through step by step on my process to making illustrations, both 3d and 2d methods . for those on the 3rd tear you can expect access not only to the tutorials themselves but to the 3d models and the textures that i have made
