Blog #17: The Genre Question
One of the most common questions I'm asked is "what do you consider to be your genre?"For the most part, my tendency has always been to sort of shrug and let the audience decide what to call it. After all, who am I to try and control how I'm perceived? What cosmic authority granted me the right to decide what I am and what others should define me as? I'm often too close to see, too biased by my own intentions, inner monologues, and vanities. I can't categorize it, and I d...

It's finally happening! My Patreon has a new tier system and new benefits, and I'm excited to be sharing these new updates with everyone. The good news is it's all good news! The Patreon will continue to focus on live videos, but the video style will be different. Instead of being spammed with short single-song videos, you'll get videos of longer-form chunks of live shows usually featuring multiple songs and including all the goofs between them. Some bonus videos might be all goof....

Those cannon-fodder lepers and mangled beasts. May t...
Update Regarding Billing & Content
Howdy folks,Sorry if I'm causing confusion by having yet another update on the situation with the upcoming re-launch, but the relentless torrent of new to-dos and incessant presentation of surprise hurdles has hobbled me. My efficiency is kneecapped and my proficiency is funny-boned.And to make matters worse: Poor me, I'm going to Turks and Caicos. My sincerest apologies to anyone who may be affected, but I hope that my audience will accept that I have done everything in my power to prev...

The Billing Pause Will Continue
Hello everyone,I've been unpacking from the move, all while having to restructure my business completely while I prep The Real Will Wood for distribution, begin the edits on Slouching Towards Branson, ready my catalog for physical distro, worship at the iron temple, and prepare for this summer's 10-year anniversary tour. Trying to have a life while this is happening has left me very little time for my other priorities, such as preparing Patreon content.I've begun that process though,...

Billing Pause Update, Ugh.
So I'm dumb. Very, very, very dumb. You know how I hit pause and it told me the pause wouldn't start until February 1st? Well I'm dumb, you see. The pause did indeed start. But I already told you you'd get stuff this month, thinking it was a normal month, and already scheduled it for upload, so while the billing will be resumed so this is indeed a normal month, it looks like some of you got a free month this month. Only mentioning this in case you get sent some notification about i...
HUGE News: You won't believe what I survived (REAL)
Howdy folks. Sorry for the clickbait title, but there's actually some really important info in here and I think a lot of you will be pretty excited by a lot of it.I’m writing to update y’all on a number of things, unrelated to the upcoming Patreon pause starting February 1st. Although quick reminder, the pause starts February 1st – you don’t have to do anything, you just won’t be charged for that month, and at the end of the month I’ll update you to let you know if we need to pau...
[IMPORTANT UPDATE!] Billing Pause Issue
Hey everyone - happy New Year! 2025 looks like it's going to be a real rollercoaster, and I'm looking forward to screaming together. So as you know billing was supposed to be paused today. However, when I clicked the "pause" button, Patreon informed me the pause won't begin until February 1st. I guess it delays a month. Personally, I feel like they weren't sufficiently clear on that, but it wouldn't be the first time I was stupid. I'm really sorry about that.So her...
