Best Friends - Chapter 5 - Part One

Great Friend Tier now has access to part one of Chapter 5. Enjoy. One note, during my testing my previous saves were not maintained, so I'm afraid you may have to restart a new game, just press that CTRL or Command key to skip ahead if you have to. Sorry about that but I don't think there is a way around it.

Renders all done, yay !!

Posting a picture of 4 beautiful girls in sexy clothing is absolutely not a flimsy attempt to deflect from my tardiness in delivering part one of chapter 5 :)Good news though, renders are all done now. Doing a final end to end test, cleaning up the code, compressing some images and then I will build the distributions. If all goes to plan and I don't uncover any major issues in the End to End, I will release tomorrow, Dec 11th!

Weekly Update - Dec 6th

Hi Everyone,I'll start of with some disappointing news, I think I'm going to be a little later than I had planned for the next update. As I said last previously I was targeting Dec 10th. With 4 days left that looks unlikely at present. I'm just about to complete the 9 total scenes I was targeting for this release and I could just release that however the story is not at the point I want it to be. So I'm holding out until I complete a further 2 more scenes to get it there. The bi...

Big Boobs?

I have just read a post on a forum about concerns that Emma is developing a little too fast! This has been prompted by the update post. What you are seeing here is gravity taking effect. There is a slider I can adjust for her breast size, I've made minimal adjustments to that, just to reflect the affect HRT is having on her developing body. To allay some fears, here is a bonus render of her in the same scene in the same outfit but not leaning forward :)

Weekly Update - Nov 29th

Hi Everyone,I've been a little sick this week and lost a couple of days in development time, however I've still managed to complete 2 more scenes, so still on target for the 9 scenes I had set for part 1 of chapter 5. I don't think though I will be at the point in the story I was hoping to get to. But that means that Chapter 5 is probably going to be bigger than I had planned rather than you missing out on content. So the plan moving forward with 2 weeks or so left to the part one rel...

Christmas Wallpapers are here!

Hi Everyone,For our US based Patreons a happy Thanksgiving to you all.I've put together a couple of Christmas themed wallpapers, one is probably NSFW the other slightly less so :)The .zip file includes both at 4k, 1440p and 1080p resolutions, get in touch with me if you need another size.Enjoy.

Weekly Update - Nov 22nd

Hi Everyone,So it's been a strange week in terms of progress for me. I've only completed (or about to complete) two extra scenes since last week but these scenes have been extremely hefty in terms of dialogue and renders. The 2nd of those scenes which I'm finishing up right now, was actually not planned at all but adds a huge amount in terms of progression with the characters. I'm actually really happy that I decided to add it in there in the end and it's flowed nicely. For ov...

Great Hire Download

Please note this is not an updated version, this is stiil parts 1 and 2 only, I've just changed the hosting method to Patreon's internal system.

Chapter 4 - Version B - Free Download

The first four chapters are available now for free to everyone.

Alternate Download

There are some issues with GoFile at the moment. I may move away from it as a uploading platform. You can use Patreon's internal hosting and perhaps I should have in the past, the only issue here is that it's limited to 5gb in file size. This figure will be exceeded probably when we get to chapter 7. Although I could just break the zip file up into parts, to get around this. Anyway for now this is the webp, compressed version of the game, for those that are having issues.

Weekly Update - Nov 15

Hi Everyone,So after the release of Chapter 4 of Best Friends last week, I have now switched focus to Chapter 5.I've scripted and rendered out the first 3 scenes. The scripting is fully in place for the early December release. As a really rough estimate expect releases around the 10th of every month, which is in line with previous release schedules. To give you some sort of idea what 3 scenes actually means in terms of progress; Chapter 2 was 13 scenes in length, chapter 3 was 14 scenes, whil...

Need some help :) Android !

Hi Everyone,I've compiled an Android build. This is for the demo version of the game on itch (chapters 1-3). Is there anyone out there that could test it for me to see if it works? I have no clue about phones and android and stuff, I don't even own a personal cell phone :) This is a .apk file, I believe you need to just run it on an android device or something, I don't know !!If anyone finds the time to try it out I would much appreciate it! If it works then I'll do the same comp...

How did this get in here?

OK maybe I lied, here's another picture from that photoshoot. Claire texted me during the shoot, said she had forgotten something, any clues what ?

Weekly Update - Nov 8th

Hello All,I hope everyone that's found the time to download and play the Best Friends chapter 4 has enjoyed it. As I've said many times before feel free to reach out to me with any feedback you would like to share. If you find any bugs, spelling mistakes, typos or just weirdness, point them out to me and I'll try to fix them for the next update.Speaking of next updates, I'm going to push out a small patch to add a couple of animations to a scene pretty near the end of the "Mi...

Chapter 4 is out now.

Available exclusively to Patreon Best Friends. Continue the journey of our protagonists as they settle into life at University.

Quick update on Release

Still on schedule for tomorrow (Nov 7th), no need to panic. Just about to head to bed now, but I've more or less finished my end to end testing, fixed a lot of little bugs I found in earlier chapters too and re-rendered a couple of shots I was less than happy with as attached. To do list: Trim down the .png files to reduce the file size a little, this process is quality loss less don't worry. Do a final, final end to end test Then build distributions. Chapter 4 will be out tomorrow mornin...

Weekly update - Nov 1st

I hope everyone had a great Halloween and if you're a parent, you have already made plans to help your kids shrink down the size of their candy stash. It's the responsible parent thing to do :)To progress.TL;DR - The finishing line is in sight for Best Friends Chapter 4.The good news is I'm firmly on schedule, with just 2 scenes (1 is pretty small) left to render out now. After that it's into final end to end testing, and adjustments that come out of that. The target date was Nov...

Halloween Wallpaper

Inspired by reebone's wonderful idea, here's a special halloween wallpaper. The zip file contains 4k, 1440p (2k) and 1080p (HD) variants, if anyone needs a smaller screen size because they are stuck in 1992 or something please let me know.

Weekly Update - Oct 25th

Hi Everyone,Weekly update time.Executive summary here would be "It's getting there."All the scripting is fully done for the next two updates, I'm now at a point where I have a back log of renders ready to take their turn on my rendering rig. Chapter 4 is already at around the same number of unique renders as Chapter 3 was but with still more to come.I'm OK with this back log as it's my preferred way to work. If my rendering rig is ever doing nothing waiting on the scripti...

Did she make the right decision?

Are the pills working or is it just the WOKE mind virus?

Weekly Update - Oct 18th

Hi Everyone,Weekly update time:I've had my head down deep into things for the next update. BF Chapter 4 is now completely scripted and I'm actually about midway through chapter 5 now in terms of scripting and coding. I'm constrained by the rendering process with many renders lined up ready to go. I've rendered out the first 3 scenes now for the second half of chapter 4. I may have gone a little over board with the third scene as it's over 100 renders in size, which is a 1/4 o...

New Tiers Available, 3 levels to fit your budget!

New tiers have been added for Patreon to support the development of the Best Friends game and more. Choose your level of friendship for a solo indie developer.

Adding Extra Tiers

Hi Everyone.A few people have expressed the desire to support the development but are unable to justify the $10 supporter fee. So in order to open up the ability for people to jump on the train and get access to the content, I'm proposing to add a couple of extra tiers:I will re-brand the current "Supporter" tier, as "Best Friend", other than that nothing changes with this tier, you will still always get access to the latest version of everything I put out.A mid tier called &...

Weekly Update - Oct 11th

Hi Everyone,The focus of the last week has been to get part 2 of Great Hire out and Patreon's should have access to that now.I've now shifted focus back to Best Friends, Chapter 4 part 2 is well under way. There are, at this moment, 11 scenes planned out, about half are fully scripted. I've rendered out the first couple and working on the third as I type this. The third is probably going to be the biggest scene in this part so it will take a little while to render.Outside of that, as...
