Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 200 - Knockout of the Cabin Door
Update: Just realised 3 days later that I forgot to put that this was a Dark Reflections: Chaos page and that this was Page 200 for anyone sorting these in their email using those terms as search criteria hence the title update! The release of that film around this time was a total coincidence and had nothing to do with this page!Art by Studio Katsumi
A Biased Viewpoint
Just been occupied with the annual Valentine's Day thing that we've done every year since 2017. Lots more Patreon content on the way after it's over! Possibly some more beforehand!Art by Luis XIIIStory and lettering by Scott T. Hicken
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 199 - Hair Raising
Well, that went about as well as anyone could have hoped for given the circumstances!Art by Studio Katsumi
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 198 - Escape Claws
Totally a coincidence that Wolverine-styled blades appeared!I narrowly missed out going to the same school at the same time as Wolverine as it happened due to the vicissitudes of fate. There was also Agent Smith but he was before both our times.Art by Studio Katsumi
Pronunciate!
Busted!Peonie is also caught out.Art by Luis XIIIStory and lettering by Scott T. Hicken
Tomato/Tomato
You say/I say(As an Australian, I probably say the former and as a native of Ohio, Scott may say the latter! Luis lives somewhere in the middle? No, seriously he does live in a country that is somewhere between mine and Scott's!)Art by Luis XIIIStory and lettering by Scott T. Hicken
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 197 - Self-Aware Wolves
Maybe not the exactly be the correct use of this term but this character's name is the Wolf and he knows something's up!We don't get to formally learn his name until the next page in this dimensional sub-branch, though.Art by Studio Katsumi

Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 196 - Shock Jock
That's right! Tiffany definitely hasn't been a nice girl ever since she was turned into one!(The battle that started here ends up pretty much the same way again!)Art by Studio Katsumi
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 195 - Boot to the Head Rebooted
Well, I said I was going to use Rebooted in a title sooner or later ... (and Tiffany was going to have to kick someone in the head again to do so!)Art by Studio Katsumi
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 194 - Face/Off
The name of the classic 1997 action film by director John Woo (check out his Hong Kong classics The Killer and Hardboiled, they're great!) and starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage trying to one up each other's performances. Definitely a film I'd also highly recommend!Apt here because Tiffany and one of the remaining bandits are in fact facing off and the face she chose back on Page 191 much like the recurring them in the movie Face/Off, thanks to significant force applied to Tiffa...
Bloomin' Faeries vs Exiern Retrospective
This is undoubtedly buried somewhere deep in our Patreon but given how shredded our website has been, I just thought it would be easier to repost it here for anyone who missed it (and potentially anyone who would like to see it again but can't find it).I'm quite proud of the fact that we were able to script some of the most Safe For Work Bloomin' Faeries strips ever made. Art by the exceptional as always Wondollar. You can see the reciprocal posting over on Bloomin' Faeries here b...
Morning Stiffness
Yet again, Phi finds his jobs co-opted!(Audience boos loudly!)The updates for all the different versions of Exiern have been coming thick and fast since I was stranded in Singapore unexpectedly! I wonder if there's a connection? Maybe I should get stranded more often if that's the case?I think it's an exceptional rendition of Peonie for this page by our artist. I imagine that would be a popular opinion among our audience!Art by Luis XIIIStory and lettering by Scott T. Hicken
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 193 - The Goggles! They Do Not Enough!
I think the audience is more likely to get this (slightly paraphrased) reference than the last one.(Page updated oh so slightly in order to add the word 'quite'.)Art by Studio Katsumi
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 192 - Tough Guys Don't Dance
The title of this page was taken from the Norman Mailer novel of the same name, or more accurately the film of the book which contained this infamous clip!In the context of this story, the first time Isaac fought our hero in the original version of Exiern starting here and then over the next few pages, there was a lot of back-and-forth repartee as well as as some quite acrobatic combat.Tiffany really doesn't have time for that this time around so as you see, everything's fast, brutal and...
Dark Reflections: Zen - Page 131
Live from Singapore!I'm not supposed to be here (was supposed to just be in transit here on the way back to Australia) but a funny thing happened to my flight on the way back from Sri Lanka ...Art by Ale+TeamLettering by AleStory by Zen
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 191 - Today We Choose Faces
This title taken from the science fiction novel of the same name by Roger Zelazny. The face Tiffany chooses to wear now is a gas mask and the face she chooses to punch belongs to this guy!(Didn't go all that well last time for him either! Rxiern 2
Just remembered that this was only briefly up on the old Worldpress site before it incinerated all the pages past a certain point (including these ones!) and then the entire site not long afterwards. So here it is again back from when the site was briefly a health and lifestyle blog (this is the 'health' bit!). Also, just realised these pages were completed in December 2021!Along with the first Rxiern, these pages will be restored to the Exiern Images archive once I have a chance to sched...
Exiern plans for 2023!
Sorry for the relative lack of updates about what's planned, I had to abruptly travel to Sri Lanka for family reasons which is where I'm writing this. So, what do we have planned for Exiern in the year it's finally old enough to vote and drink (in most non-US territories)?Exiern (Original): We've had some success with multiple updates well over the 4-5/month on the regular website at 1 update/week. We hope to make that as regular a thing as possible for the $1 tier.We do hope to h...
Dark Reflections: Chaos Page 190 - Smoke Bomb
Actually, it's tear gas but we wanted to keep that motif we had going with Smoked Out, Smoke on It, Smoke Signals and Smoke Rings of Power!Art by Studio Katsumi

Dark Reflections: Zen - Page 129
In retrospect, the page wasn't particularly zen as a piano fell on someone!Neither is this one given everyone in it doesn't appear particularly relaxed!Art by Ale+TeamLettering by AleStory by Zen

Neese End Credits
It only took about 8 years and 1 month and several artists but Neese is finally finished! We really hope you enjoyed it!We'll start a new story in 2023 (and finish it much sooner!). Anything in particular from the world of Exiern everyone would like to see, we're open to considering suggestions!End Credits by Sean Harrington who put them together before going on his well-deserved end of year vacation!Remember, if you want to read this now (finally!) completed story in its entirety, you c...
Exiern: Dark Reflections Top Webcomics Voting Incentive for January 2023
We needed some voting incentives for Top Webcomics for next month and we were also waiting for some more new scripts. So, in the meantime, we asked our artist Luis XIII to have a look at both Exiern and Dark Reflections: Chaos and see what he could come up with, no directions from the rest of us! So, hot off the press and early for you guys, this what we got for Exiern: Dark Reflections! What do you all think? We've slipped down the rankings a bit (more or less where we used to be before we w...
