here's a boss fight tune. it was fun to get this one squashed into the 256kb limit (with 20kb to spare!) while maintaining fidelity and atmosphere. the ingame version of this has a number of loop markers to activate parts of the track depending on what phase the boss is in.

some music from the game i'm working on

i mentioned i was making a game, and i didn't expect to write music for it, but here's some of it so far! you can find MP3s attached to the post.i'm hoping almost all the game's music will be in tracker format, and i've created a "virtual sound chip" specification list to help keep things coherent: 12 PCM channels 8 bit samples up to 32khz - mono or stereo sample size limit 32kb chip RAM (samples + sequencing) 256kbmore updates soon!

some oldschool tracker jungle/breaks. no alias attributed to this one right now.i've also attached the tracker file for use in OpenMPT. the final version is pitched up one semitone and has some reverb and delays VSTs, and that is all not present in the tracker file for the sake of portability.

darius - i'd like to paint (pc engine ver.)

a PC Engine style conversion of the darius track. 6 channels of 16-sample (supports 32-sample, but 16-sample saves space... tiny amounts of space lol) waveforms (one is a noise sample since you can't just generate noise in a tracker file) and two more channels tossed on for fun to simulate audio recording line noise. you'll find the original tracker file attached to this post too, which you can open in OpenMPT or play back in XMplay.you can also find a slightly larger (32kb instead of 16...
