The Question Post (May/June 2020)
I'm thinking about 6 weeks is the right time for these after all rather than monthly, so I think I'll do that and just keep answering more questions each time than the 3-5 that I originally envisioned. Same number of questions answered, but better pacing for me.So, post your questions as replies to this thread, or send them to me via the Direct Message function of Patreon (if you prefer to be anonymous). Answers will be a separate entry than this one that will be public for everyone to s...

The Answer Post (Mar/Apr 2020)
Welcome to the second Answer post, for the months of March and April 2020. We’ve got 11 questions this time, which feels like a more sustainable number than the 30+ from last time. Before I start, I wanted to say something about how I pick the questions. There were a number of questions (this time and last) that took the form of, “Is there any one [situation] that you [felt a certain way about]?” And most of the time, the answer was simply, “Not really,” or, “Maybe, but I don’t reme...

The Question Post (March/April 2020)
Whoops, I forgot to open this at the start of the month. Let's say this one runs until mid-April, then, and I'll post answers before May.Just like last time, post your questions as comments to this thread, or send them to me via the Direct Message function of Patreon (if you prefer to be anonymous). Answers will be a separate entry than this one that will be public for everyone to see. That entry will be shorter than 32 answers this time! Here are some quick guidelines for types of questi...
OOTS #1195, People First
In addition to the attached files, I'm also going to start putting a link to the comic on the Giant in the Playground site, in case you're on your phone and you just want to click through: OOTS #1195
The Answer Post (February 2020)
Welcome to our first Answer post for this Patreon!I may have gone a little bit overboard here, since we had more than 100 questions. I answered 32 of them below, not counting the fact that some were essentially duplicates of each another. I tried to include all the straightforward questions that I could answer with one or two sentences, just to clear them off the list, and then a few of the more open-ended “essay question” types. I’ll try to circle back to some more of those next time, and...
Two announcements...
One, I'm going to lock the Questions thread because it has over 100 questions and I want to get started answering some of them. I said I was originally going to do about 5 a month, but I'll definitely be answering more than that this first time (though definitely not all 100+). I'll open a new Questions thread after the first of the month. Two, if you were waiting for the forums to come back...they're back.EDITED: Wow, I guess I should have gone and checked to see if Patreon lets ...
How to Change Your Pledge Amount
Hey there. First, thanks to all of you for the support you've already given to this Patreon. It's really helping make decisions about the server and the forum easier to know that I've got enough of a budget to actually fix the things that need fixing. One question that has come up a few times so far is the question of changing your pledge amount because you want to pledge more or less than the default $2. I didn't set up "tiers" at different amounts because I didn't wa...
OOTS #1191: An Easy Mistake
I'm trying a different method for posting these this time. Both the hi-resolution and the normal resolution versions are attached, instead of being in the post. If you want to read it hi-res for the first time you won't get spoiled. But if you don't care and just want to read it at at the normal size, you can do that, too. And if you want to read it on the regular website, here's a link: OOTS #1191
OOTS #1190 - Getting Started on Getting to the End
FYI - the main art in this post is the regular version of the comic, as posted on the GiantITP site. The hi-res patron-only version is in the attachment. I did that because the Patreon site downsampled the hi-res version when I tried to put it directly in this post. Maybe there's a way around that, or maybe there's a better way to get you the hi-res image instead of an attachment; I'll keep tinkering with it.
The Question Post (Feb 2020)
One of the things I'm going to be doing here on Patreon answer questions from patrons every month about The Order of the Stick. The idea is that while I'm not going to be making extra comics for supporters here, it won't take too much time away from drawing the strip to hop on and ramble about this or that once a month. The answers will be posted toward the end of the month in a separate entry than this one that will be public for everyone to see. But the questions will be here, on t...
Top Secret First Patron-Only Post
Welcome to the first patron-only post for the Order of the Stick Patreon! In this post, we'll discuss the importance of the significant motif of thematic consequence, in particular with regard to the understanding of such concerns vis a vis the underlying contextual constructs in accordance with the latest literary...Actually, I have absolutely nothing to say here; I'm just testing the posting format to see how it looks.Still, if anyone who's not a patron asks you what's in this p...
