Woodcrawler Legs Effect Breakdown (World's Weirdest Animals)
Normal speed + slowed down versions (also the original illustration is there too). This was the first VFX shot I attempted for GHE. It was actually just one leg, which I duplicated, delayed and moved to give the effect some fluidity. And yes, the woodcrawler leg was blue. I don't know why it was blue.
Infected Man Effect Breakdown (Home Invasion Help)
Thought it would be fun to show the different layers that went into making the chair scene in HIH. If you'd like to see more stuff like this for other CG shots, let me know (and let me know which shots you want to see)!
Where the heck is the next Gemini!?
Hey again folks, thank you for your continued patience. Just popping in so you're not all left in the dark. Since my last update I've been continuing work on this video, reworking sections and waiting for a handful of things from different people. At the moment I'm unhappy with a certain section, so I may be reworking a large portion of the video. Yeah, I'm as annoyed as you are. I hope you all hold in there while I try to make this video as scary, concise and cool as I can. Than...
Various unedited VFX shots
Hey everyone, since my last patreon post I scrapped the episode I was working on, started working on another episode, scrapped that one as well, and I am now working on another episode (with a more solid concept). So unfortunately the teaser I posted most likely will not be used, unless I repurpose it later on. Thank you all for your patience and support! Here's some BTS stuff in the meantime.
January Teaser
Hey folks, here's a teaser for the next ep. Also just hijacking this post to say if you're interested in posts regarding specific episodes/creatures/etc, post a comment and I might make a post about it! I'd like to get more involved with you all.
Unedited Monster Animation from CEP
The illustration is made out of 27 animatable pieces, though not all of the pieces ended up being animated. To avoid any confusion, technically speaking only the parts we ended up seeing on-screen are canon.
December Teaser
The conveniently placed black bar obscures content not yet able to be shown
Lack of updates
As I'm sure you've noticed, there was not a GHE episode this month nor were there many Patreon updates. I've been taking a short break from Gemini throughout November but rest assured a new episode is in the works, which is probably going to be released later this month. As a thank you for your patience, here's a very vague teaser for the next episode, which is--just this once--available to all Patrons. Iris tier Patrons will also get a less vague teaser later today. Again, thank...
Monthly Progress Report Used/Unused Illustrations
I originally drew 5 illustrations for Monthly Progress Report, but the segment became lengthy, confusing and complicated. So I started the segment from scratch, using only the essentials and making the segment easier to follow.
Teaser 2
I wonder what this could be?
Teaser
Thank you all for your support! I'd like to apologize for the lack of posts. As I've been working mostly on the playable Lethal Omen lately I don't exactly have many teasers to share. Finally though, here's a little something I cooked up this morning. Pretty vague, but there should be a bit more later on.
Deleted Sleep Image Visualization
Deleted for pacing. It would have acted as a brief moment of brevity before the final two Visualizations. There would have been echoing forest ambiance playing. Eventually I decided it didn't fit the mood and dragged the video for too long. I also had plans for an ocean-related dream that was never made.
New tier?
Hey Patrons! You may have noticed that the Supporter tier has been changed to the Gemini tier, and that a new tier, Iris, has been added. Don't worry, nothing's changed to your tier besides the name. For the new Iris tier, I'll be sharing behind-the-scenes and work-in-progress material, unedited version of assets, peeks into cancelled episodes, and more! It's all supplementary material, so don't feel like you're missing out if you don't upgrade your tier. For those in...
