I had to change the shot of panel 4 from the original sketch because I couldn't make the drawing work without a wild amount of foreshortening deformation on Joe's arm, and it felt like the arm was attracting too much attention as a result. So I went up to Joe and pushed him over and felt better about it.

I double-check my work a lot; which is to say I will re-evaluate my pages at most stages of the process to assess whether or not I'm on the right track. This does not always work out for me. I'll change my mind on an expression, or a pose, only to realize several steps later that I was on the right track from the beginning. I wonder how much quicker my comic process would be if I just trusted my gut from the beginning...?
