February Postcard
I didn't start this drawing thinking I would finish it with such a high level of anxiety, but now that I'm finished with it, I'm happy to have this comfortable space to sit in between bouts of mild panic. If you also need a space to take a pause, join the Forbidden Fruits Tier by Jan 31st!
Feeling Fantastic
Where are my arcane fans at? π
Maeve
Maeve is a fallen Aasimar warlock, and I wanted to draw her before and after she "fell". Here's a piece of writing I did about her backstory that I told as a monologue at my table: Once upon a time, at the edge of a small farming community, nestled into a great and magical forest, a child was born. From the moment they scraped the after birth from her small body, they knew this child would never be mistaken for ordinary. Her hair was stark white, light as the moon, and starlight dott...

Minor Color Adjustments for January's postcard!

December postcard progress
I know we're all a little more stressed than usual going into the holiday season this year, especially those of us in countries rapidly giving way to a fascist right. It's hard, when life continues to persist in the face of something that seems so far a stretch from normal. I have always wanted to be an artist who can express that kind of grief; who can make beautiful pieces with their heart out and exposed, but I'm just not. In the face of stress, when cortisol is running through my...

Happy Halloween!!
"we saw you across the apothecary and thought you seemed interesting." Happy Monday creeps and creatures! It's Halloween week and what better time to drop some witches. Does anyone have exciting plans for Halloween? For this weekend after? Lmk in the comments!
Witches
I feel a little like I've lost the plot on this one. It never really knew what it wanted to be, so here's what it became.
Off Menu comes out tomorrow!!
Hi all! I'm sorry for being a little bit slow on the updates lately, but I do have some exciting news to share! My graphic novel comes out TOMORROW! And I'm throwing a little launch event at a bookstore in Denver on Wednesday. It's been a little crazy for me this last week. I got sick, and I've been crossing all of my fingers that I wouldn't have to cancel my event! So far, I feel fine today so barring anything ELSE happening, the event is a go! I'm also doing a some '...
Our Sins Are Scarlet
A while ago I had the opportunity to do some alt covers for a project that was later cancelled. I never really sheared e them anywhere, but I think it's fine!
Medusa in her sunroom ππ
I really enjoyed taking the time to draw this, and I like it enough to make it a postcard! If you're a Forbidden Fruit during the month of OCTOBER, this will come to you in November. βΊοΈSwipe for progress shots, and join the Patreon if you want to keep up to date on what I'm working on next!
POSTCARD UPDATE
Hi all! I had to adjust the colors on this postcard piece to accommodate CMYK printing. Bright blues and purples can be a bit tricky with laser printers, but I still really like this new slightly more subdued version!as always, join the Forbidden Fruits tier if you want a postcard of your own. I've gone back to Holographic for this one, because I can't help make things sparkly when they deserve it. Best, Kelsi

It's been a while since I made a piece simply because I *wanted* to. It was nice to take the time to do it. I'll be using it as the September postcard, so there's something for you Forbidden Fruits to look forward to!

A really rough sketch of something personal. βΊοΈ
