mermaid shibari lineart
As it is the last day of May, even if it's still in process, here the lineart of the last mermaid anyway! And I'm really sorry for the censor but I had fun with it ^^. For the next one it will be without and colored (hopefully soon, but I'm a bit busy with other stuff)

Some little pencil drawing for a change finished a little while ago. May is definitively a bit lewd. Nothing really realistic with ropes tho...Making a little break from digital works atm, working a bit back on my storyboard.

A little step by step
Well, had to take a commission in a hurry with really tight deadlines, so here are some steps of it from very rough idea to the begining, of refinning, and lineart. I will post more following my own progress. Hope to make the faster as possible but I never make something simple... damn... ^^'
Damned ropes
Just some spoil/update for the last mermaid, but as said in the title, damned ropes... wanted to draw precisely and in full to contrast with the body, and it works well, but it takes time ^^' + the time to find how and where to make the way for the rope...
Nautilus
Feeling definitively and surprisingly, pretty inspired with this theme.Mixing drawing, and kind of compositing, playing with colours sheme, blur and noise. Really fun and this time really managed to speed up a bit all my process.
Coloring and shading (quietly)
Some saturday progress. Used bruches completely differently for testing.The shading is done in one layer with only hard edge, will maybe smooth it a bit but not sure (sharp is good for this one^^)Hope you're having all a good weekend!
Armoured mermaid: Nautilus, wip.
The next one, decided finally to do it because I liked the composition. So here the inked lineart (digital), differently from the previous one, I didn't use here the opacity pressure to have only a full black lineart.The second picture is just the first one again with a very little update on the buttocks which had a bit too much shadows after the highlight pass.

Kinky cyberpunk pinup (2)
As promised, the second batch. Hope you enjoy it!In conclusion: I'm not totally satisfied with several stuff with this one. Technically the process is too complex, and the base sketch was not well polished enough on some parts. But I think that the cyberpunk and the bondage/porn stuff give some more *interest* and make it works anyway (even if everything is rather unrealistic). I will post some close-up and alt stuff as a kind of bonus in a next post.

Well, turned rather lewd ^^'. Alt versions are not infinite but there is so many layers that it's easy to be lost or to make mistakes when exporting ^^'. I think that I'm not really up to speed with technical aspect, but well anyway call it done this little chronological porn series... next and last part tomorow!

Cyberpunk cop officer pinup
Working very too long on this one for the result, but I can't take it anymore. Not really happy with it, from lineart to coloring it was pretty a mess. Wanted at first to make something fast, was an absolute failure, but well, let's say it's practice and fuck off! ^^' have to move forward! The main reason is probably the lack of purpose I guess. Mermay Wip coloring
Some progress but not as much as I wanted as I'm working on several stuff at the same time (but in the same time: more stuff incomming :)). Made some adjustments and started to add a global pass of shading, still rough and unfinished, but we get a better idea of the mood.
Colouring wip
Always pretty long and not easy ^^'... Trying to make it quite simple, but well... There are just flat and some gradient colors and I added an upper colored layer to make all a bit more homogenous. Still have to set it well with shading and lights

Well, it's May, and I didn't do only one damned mermaid ever for the "mermay" art challenge or whatever. Maybe time to make some "trending" stuff to be more noticeable on social media -_- So anyway, 3 sketches, I hope to finish at least one this month ^^'. The last one is inspired by some old sculpture I saw, turned a bit special... What's your favourite?
Making stories
A bit presumptuous, I have not really something to teach about this (and about anything else probably), but anyway some thoughts, and also how I came to make my stories for my comics zine. Ideas come mostly with only one drawing, that tells me a whole story.For the first issue, it is finally a part of an old story I had in stock, I had already tried to make a comic with it but I failed because too ambitious for my skills at all levels in comics especially storyboard, and I didn't know really...
Figure drawing
I don't do often figure drawing from "live model" (in photography), but sometimes it helps at some point. There, are 3 short sessions I did lately for morning practice and warm-up (the last one is a bit hotter).Just some poses and very little time for each. I stop when the page is full, no need to care about anything and that's cool.Doing this more often could really improve more quickly, anatomy and gesture skills, but I well, I don't like to do this very much ^^'...

Morning sketch warmup, and screen recording test

As I struggle a bit with storyboarding this weekend, I tried to speed up my usual process on digital, with this kind of pinup. Wanted something quickly done more than accurate. Still not any shading, just flat and local colors. Was done in few hours, about 2-3.I would say that it has been possible to make it faster than usual by doing this last week some sketches pretty badly btw about this pose or similar. Well always practice helps even if the result is often not as good as we want.
