Cycles
Endings. So timely with the season. Stopping to notice what's (not) nourish the soul, what adjustments are needed. Courage and openness for whatever comes. Respect and care as roots, so I can flow, grounded, with whatever comes.May you have a soft weekend π
Warm spells
Tropical temperatures these days, up to 27 degrees and very windy. 'The air of the chestnuts' as the local saying says. I adore this autumnal light, it's such a joy to work in the garden, very soothing and grounding.
Another tree down
Today I found out that another tree fell down. It's been dead for a while. It's a shame because pine martens used to climb it to cross the river just on top of my swim spot; I hope I still see them from time to time!Fresh spell of water during a warm day (before the rain and the temperature drop. Very autumnal).
Blinded by the light
Such a bright and warm day, in contrast with the cold water. Light and lightness of feather.May you have a great start of the weekend β¨
First yellow leaves
A dip after a sweaty wander is always so refreshing! And I love yellow leaves!!!!
Even shorter
Shorter days and even shorter hair. I love it!Today I went on a hike and in my way back I had a very chilly dip in the river! I hope you're having a great weekend!
Delicious dip
It took me hours to feel awake, maybe I didn't manage it until the afternoon dip! One of those days!Which picture is your favourite?May you have a great day! β€οΈ
Weather confused
Maximum temperature of 27 degrees during the day. Very cold morning. Water temperature rapidly dropping to the point of feeling a slight faint sensation when the water touches my thighs. I decided to take it slow and once acclimatised I decided to fully immerse. I don't want to push it as I'm on my period and feeling the temperature quite intensely. Colours are beautiful and leaves are slowly turning into other colours...
Back home
I spend a few fantastic days in Madrid on my training. Now back home, also fantastic - and much colder! Madrid was like a hot day in summer here up north!
Bliss
No need to stay long to feel the goodness of being in the water. Yesterday I was going to drive to the beach but I decided to go to the river, cycle to the nearest town and go for a walk, rather than spending time in the car, specially now that days are much shorter! Beautiful decision! I mean, both decisions would have been great!
Oh the drop
I really noticed how the temperature drops... I believe I'm getting more sensitive to the cold!
It's Friday!
Weekend feeling, really looking forward to enjoying some time outdoors these days, specially with mostly sunny forecast π
Cooling down quickly
There's been a drop in the temperature of the water. Autumn! These mornings are rather chilly, around 9 degrees, and misty. Then it clears up and one can enjoy a very pleasant sunshine π€
Waterfall
Yesterday I unexpectedly ended up in a waterfall ππ
Autumn
Today feels like autumn, chilly start, light sun, stillness in the air, the sound of leaves, a few raindrops, and forecast of rain later on...May you have a delicious Saturday π
Monday afternoon
My van decided to stop working a few days ago. The week I was planning to go to the beach in the evenings. Message from the universe: no expectations, adapt to the changing circumstances, flow... I hear that...River is glorious and one of my cats, Puca also loves the riverside and sunbathing π such a cutie
Blackberry time
So many blackberries these days ππΎ
Little heaven
The venue of the little festival was wonderful, very magical forest and river. I basically didn't stop between volunteering and being part of workshops. I took this pictures yesterday morning when I decided to have some time on my own instead of joining a yoga class. It was for me the best decision, my body really needed some solitude in nature to recharge. It's incredible how I can recharge so immediately in this environment ππΎ
Green thoughts and textures
These days are strange. I feel strange (the river dip changed things and supported me to take things more lightly). Transitions into autumn, a season that I love but that also comes with its nostalgia and invitations to let go. Some mornings are really chilly others warm, sometimes it's boiling hot in the sun and a minute later can be briefly pouring down with rain. Reflecting on this summer and considering changes for the next already. Learning to let go of expectations. Forgiving myself fo...
Dancing at the beach
After the effect of the full moon hangover of weird dreams and intermittent sleep went away I went to the sea to dance! A spark of creativity I needed to let out, the walls of my house where to near each other. I needed space and rough sea! Amazing
New pool
Yesterday I was taking part in contemporary dance workshops in a village and luckily there was an amazing river pool nearby where we could spend the lunch break ππΎand at the same time the Vuelta ciclista passed just a few meters away. Synchronicities!
Stillness
Enjoying stillness in the river with gentle water a and algae. I love this September light.
Beach postponed
I was meaning to go to the beach, to check out a secluded one (and officially nudist) that was recommended to me recently, but I aborted the mission as I was told that the sea is still incredibly forceful these days, red flag status. I have patience and the river ππΎ
Fallen willow
A willow fell in my swim spot, just at the bottom of the stairs. Strong winds. Poor tree! Glad that it happened when I wasn't there! I was aware of it's condition so I knew it would happen at some point, but it's always a mystery when it happens.
Joy
My heart centre feels really open since yesterday, and it's such a joy. The power of sharing micro-adventures in nature and daily life with people I love is huge. Connection with all beings + nakedness in nature ππΎ Btw, yesterday we went to a beach that I normally go to off-season here (that has always been considered nudist by locals), and the lifeguards told me off. Such a different vibe with my recent experiences in Fuerteventura. It had not happened to me before; I guess another on...
River frolics
Always great to be back in my river and with my cats! Today Sith accompanied me sunbathing in the garden and it was great. I wish I had stayed longer in Fuerteventura but that's life. I definitely want to go back at some point, really loved it. They say that either you love it or you hate it.
Paradise
I had never been in a beach with such a turquoise sea. It was paradise. And there were a few other people naked amongst others wearing swimming costumes so I felt at home. These days apart from two occasions were I wore a bikini bottom for swimming because of the context of the beach I have been swimming and sunbathing naked everywhere without any issues and feeling good/safe about it. This beach apart from being a paradise it felt lovely and welcoming in that sense; such a different vibe when y...
Natural pool
I woke up early today, went for a stroll to find a natural pool that I had seen on the map and was calling me. What a beauty and what an amazing time in the water. Completely in a trance state, like a mermaid. The temperature of the water was perfect, warm enough to stay there for ages and also fresh. Loved it!
More Fuerteventura
I had never experienced any swim like in yesterday's beach before. The sea was just surreal, and the best invitation to surrender. Simply wow.
Far far away
I'm in the Canary Islands for a few days, for the first time and wow, such a contrast. I'm really loving this landscape, of volcanic rocks, dunes, turquoise sea, cacti and desert. The water is exquisite, the sea is embracing (when is possible to swim!)
